Backrooms - First Contact is a horror short film, and is the third video and third chronological video in Kane Pixels' Backrooms series. It takes place after the events of Backrooms - The Third Test and before the events of Backrooms - Missing Persons. In the description, there is a link to the unlisted video faultline.mov. The film follows the events leading up to the opening of a doorway into the Backrooms.
Plot[]
The video begins with an FBI warning screen before the logo of Async appears, which likely means that they successfully got funding from the government. Following this is a list of technical details, revealing that the footage shows the sixth test of the Low-Proximity Magnetic Distortion System. Also shown are a list of experiment modifications, pictures of machinery, and more information, including a backwards message reading:

The footage then cuts to a view of the Threshold. As the test starts on October 17, 1989 at 5:03 PM, the Threshold slowly opens. About 10 seconds later, at 5:04 PM, the experiment goes out of control, with dirt raining from the ceiling and alarms blaring. As two unseen scientists start to argue whether to shut it down, a map of the Backrooms begins to appear on a computer and the scientists detect an unknown obstruction. The noise and chaos reaches a crescendo, at which point it cuts to black. The footage reappears, displaying the aftermath of the opening with smoking, charred machinery. The camera slowly zooms in to the opened Threshold - damaged and tilted - and the newly accessed Backrooms.[1]
