Backrooms - Informational Video is a horror short film and sixth chronological video in Kane Pixels' Backrooms series. It takes place after the events of Backrooms - Missing Persons and before the events of Backrooms - Motion Detected. The film follows an Async member who gets lost in the Backrooms.
Plot[]
A text-to-speech voice gives a presentation with information describing "Project KV31", also known as the "Low-Proximity Magnetic Distortion System. An image is shown labeling the doorway into the Backrooms as the "Threshold". The video then gives a list of the many names given to the Backrooms and explains that their use is prohibited outside of the facility. The voice then cuts out, images flash and the presentation skips to two regulations regarding the Threshold. First, that it is prohibited to enter the complex without guided supervision, and second, that all expeditions must be comprised of at least three individuals. The first three regulations are skipped.
It then cuts to footage taking place in February 29, 1990. A team of four Async personnel enter the Backrooms. The cameraman hears noises of ordinary chatter from a corner and goes to investigate. He tries to get his coworker's attention, but both them and the red tether suddenly disappear. In actuality, it was he who teleported a few months into the future. Terrified, he tries to find them.
After realizing that it is a lost cause, the cameraman backtracks toward the exit, but without the red tether to guide him back, he gets lost. During his search, he first finds a large room that looks like a auditorium with something black and grainy laying on the floor. He then finds an opening in the wall leading to a dark tunnel. It is a new area of the Backrooms with a wooden floor and wallpaper of forests. At the end is a wallpaper with forced perspective of a Normandy style cottage. It is theorized that this could be an Async employee's home.
The cameraman manages to find his way to the Threshold, but as he traveled to the future, it is behind the small room Async would later build. He gets in using his key card, but after shouting for help, a loud alarm start blaring. He turns off the camera and the film cuts to two schematics, one of them showing the room he got into.
