Backrooms - Missing Persons is a horror short film, and is the fourth video and fifth chronological video in Kane Pixels' Backrooms series. It takes place after the events of collateral.mov and before the events of Backrooms - Autopsy Report. The film is about all the people that have disappeared since the opening of the Threshold into the Backrooms.
Plot[]
The film begins with several images of missing persons posters. The people shown are Nicolas Bolton, Margaret Watson (last seen: 12/02/1989, age: 28), Janice Scott, Ellis White (age: 2), an Unnamed Man, and James Esmail. Since the opening of the Threshold on October 17, 1989, there has been a significant spike in missing persons cases — the implication is that they all unintentionally entered the Backrooms.
The footage shows the Threshold, repaired after the damage suffered in Backrooms - First Contact, with a red tether leading into it. After the Async logo flashes, the video switches to footage recorded by an Async expedition into the Backrooms. Four Async personnel in hazmat suits, including a cameraman, are on it, leaving behind a red tether to find their way back. The researchers explore the Backrooms for a while until they find the corpse of Nicolas Bolton covered in black mold. It was not there on their last expedition, causing the confused explorers to investigate it. The footage then loudly cuts out, with pictures of microorganisms flashing before the camera shows a blue screen with inverted text reading, “If anybody, blame him".[1]
