The Red City is a seemingly "outside" area of the Backrooms, it is seen through windows by Ravi during Found Footage 3. The Underground Neighborhood is presumably either connected to or part of it due to shared features and both areas being accompanied by a identical, strange repetitive sound.
It is unknown if it is reachable or even "real" (as in, tangible enough to physically access) or merely a sort of scenery.
Appearance[]
The city is bathed in a red light, with generic-seeming buildings emitting light beneath a starry nightscape. Trees are present (the same kind seen in the Underground Neighborhood) as is a road with a large turn sign on the side of it, despite the road being straight from what can be seen.
No people, animals, or vehicles are seen.
The windows on the buildings seem to be glowing pictures instead of actual interior areas.
